okay. im a Android Dev Phone 1 owner who thought i was ready to update, now i just feel confused.

i got my ADP1 back recently from warranty and never had much time to play with it, but i want to update my ADP1 to firmware 1.1 from the factory default of 1.0.

im wondering what you mean by "Blessed" ADP1 Images. are we talking about offical ADP1 firmware from google instead of "leaked" images or what? if so, that would be great because, until now i can only seem to find ADP1 firmware on third party sites like this one.

what are the differences of the ROM updates you posted here:
http://andblogs.net/2009/01/new-adp1-images-leaked/
and here:
http://andblogs.net/2009/02/new-adp1-update-official-with-google-voice-and-more/

i have flashed phones before and the android process dont seem much worse, i just never been so confused about what ROM firmware update to pick, or if i should still wait for an offical update.
at least i dont seem to be the only one confused:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=1dc86fba566361c3&hl=en

also, as i have already had several problems with the first ADP1 (scrollwheel, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi all broke) needing to be replaced, i dont really want to load any ROM firmware that might void my warranty, let alone brick my phone.
thanks to everyone in advance!

@balachmar,
Its not source/bin, its odex - in JF's images and G1 images, the odex is stored on /system. In adp1 stock images, it is built at runtime and stored in /data with the rest of your data and apps.

The only real downside of the stock image for me is that you have less room for applications and cache. Something to do with on the adp all apps are from source instead of opex files or something.
