New SPL
Haykuro has posted a new SPL (bootloader) that increases your system and data by about 30 megs each. Thats totally awesome.
Just grab it below and give it a try. Warning: You may have to wipe after – and you might even have to re-run your update (you are using JF’s images right?) Check it out, give it a try. (Warning: if you are using the Cache hack, the new size of cache is only 30 megs. Double-check that that is big enough before you reboot, or remove the hack before trying this out. Its not like you need it, with 90 megs of data..)
SPL with larger partitions v1.0 (638 downloads)
* Changes partition sizes - 90 megs each for system and data
* May require a wipe!

(Also, this is my first test of Scribefire. Lets see how it works.)

cool deal :) Personally, I’m sticking (for now) with the dalvik cache move, but I’m glad this is working for people.

I did this and was worried I bricked my phone until I reinstalled JF. Now I’ve re-downloaded 20 apps and still have 54 megs free.

I believe I have bricked my phone during the update. Is the only option of repair a trip to T-Mo? I am fairly savvy on a mac or pc. Are there any methods left.

Haykuro has been working with people on that. Unfortunately, I don’t think he has a blog, just a twitter. (Update: I tagged him early this morning, and he may be setting up a more permanent home later today.)

I can’t even get to the bootloader screen. I have tried home+power, camera+power, and volume down+power.

FYI I am currently running this spl (I undid the cache hack for reasons having nothing to do with tech and everything to do with… I can’t tell you that yet. :) ..) and any update.zip that does a format will work. (Just unzip it and check META-INF/com/google/…etc../update-script for “FORMAT” lines)

All right… so I flashed the SPL and now my phone is stuck at the G1 screen too… any ideas on how to solve this? it’d be great if someone could get back to me, even if it is just to say that i’ll have to talk to t-mobile customer service …
thanks!
(and even still, thanks a lot for that hard work…)
