my benq s6 allows usb host, maybe the linux app from that could be ported to the g1?

Actually TV out is standard on the chip and I bet all the pins are routed properly for it too the chipset is the same as the one on the HTC touch pros.

WOW! I have been waiting for USB-Host mode to make a Consult cable software for Nissan OBDI/II cars with datalogging… so sweet! last I played in linux land, the FTDNI Serial-Usb drivers were working quite nicely in the stock kernel ;)

Well thats what I was confused, since it seems to send all of the information through the usb port. I would be incredibly interested in a usb-to-vga port, combined with a keyboard, who needs an android netbook

Shesh, if we get host USB, then throw a USB VGA adaptor on there and it is no joke at all. I know Linux used to support at least one of them…

Could make a nice little mobile terminal.
