So you missed Google I/O, and failed to get yourself a free “Ion” (Magic). Don’t despair, you may not have the shiny black bling but you can have the software.
(Update: No you can’t, my bad. That is a patch zip, not a full. BUT .. I got my hands on a system dump and built an update.zip for you guys.)
Well.. guess what.. I’ve got some awesome news. Market, gmail, gtalk.. ON CUPCAKE.
Thats right, you heard it here first, the OFFICIAL ADP1.1 image has been released! No leaks, no shady stuff, no Google-employee-only images, btu that actual upstream image.
Updated: OK the directions and such are here now, just to make life a little easier.
I’ve finally got a proper files mirror going, so things will be a little slow while I upload all the files. Once that is done, however, expect things to be fast fast fast :)
(Update: Most files are uploaded now, so we should be good. And I got JF to fix his links, which were causing much of the unexpected trouble..)
Thanks to eagle-eyed posters over on XDA-Dev, we have an official ADP1.1 update.zip image! (Update: Now there is a version with no device/version checks. Enjoy!)
Update 2: Now we know what it is!
The images are identical to JF1.41-RC30, only they are based off the PLAT-RC33 release instead. You also need the radio image update, and – surprise – you’ll find them both below :)
And you know we’ll have it for you just as soon as possible. Until then though, read on for the rundown of changes.. (Summary: Its basically the T-mobile version of the 1.1 adp1 release, with a couple of new features.)

And – according to the checkin logs – we’re almost up to an actual working system :) Bluetooth works, wifi works, now GPS works and maybe even hardware-accelerated GL! :)
And the big news is multitouch. It works in the browser and some demo apps, (It is a little laggy because the browser reflows the page at each stage of zooming.) Read on for the release announcement and images.
